When in doubt... make a Sixers shirt!

Actually, I wasn't really in doubt. I just thought that'd make a good title.

Despite the fact that Hanson is my favorite band in the world, I wanted to show my love and support for The Sixers at one of the upcoming shows. (I'm going to Northampton, Sayreville, Falls Church, Allentown, and Lancaster.) Of course, Northampton was the chosen city to make myself a new Sixers shirt and wear it to the show! I made one for my mom as well. Like me, she also loves Hanson. But for her, when it comes to having to chose between Hanson and SK6ers, The Sixers are her first choice.

So, this is the shirt I made:

And this is the one I made for my mom. The text on the front was her idea.

If anyone's going to Northampton and sees anyone in these shirts, don't worry. It's just me and my mom. Say hi if you want! We'll be the loonies dancing like nuts in the fourth row.

I especially love the second one. How did you make them? They look kinda silkscreened?

I recommend a cardigan for layering, as it will probably still be sub-freezing in Northampton in April.

haha! i like the 2nd one too.

i made a tshirt to wear to a sixers show years ago...that said "I can't dance all night." Turned out to be appropriate because I had a terrible cold and had to sit out for a few songs.

I got another tank top to wear under my red one (since the red one is shorter than I'd like it to be), and I'll also take a jacket to wear over it. I'm so tired of cold weather that all of my concert outfits are a bit summery. Haha. But I'll come armed with a jacket or a hoodie just in case!

I made them using a freezer paper stencil. If you haven't made them before, basically you print or draw your image on the non-waxy side of the freezer paper. You cut it out, iron it on your material, and then paint over it. When you remove the freezer paper, your stencil usually comes out pretty crisp. It's just that all the little letters are a pain in the butt to cut out.

I love that it looks a little imperfect. That whole procedure sounds too complicated for me, although awesome. I'll stick to printer transfers.

My friend and I made Goose and Boots shirts with pictures of the corresponding inanimate objects a while ago. (See icon picture.)

Chrissy! I love your mom. and I've never even met her. (how creepy do I sound?) I just remember that video of you guys meeting the Sixers and the back of your shirts said "back then the girls were the shit"

I love the "Hanson who?" shirt! I want one. Except I can't make it to any shows this tour so that kinda sucks. I'll make one the next time Hanson tours with one of my favorite bands.
