Since Soucy's departure from the Sixers, we have gotten the three some we all knew and loved before...but, last Fall seeing the boys, and loving every moment, i found myself at times missing something...the three some is great, dont get me wrong, i just feel the live show is missing that lead guitar and the little excitement i miss from the Souce days...any thoughts?

i really do love them just the way they are. souce was fun, though. who was that one guy they had fill-in for awhile?

that'd be young blues phenom kyle riabko.

i'm a fan of harmonica, kazoo and tuba solos, myself.

i never saw them when soucy was there... but ive seen them with kyle, with sam, and without either, and obviously one night in boston.
i found trb shows with sam and the shows with kyle were fun, a little more energetic than the one show i saw of just the 3 of them... so maybe the lead guitarist position does add something to the live show. but, of course they're still one of my favorites to see even with just the 3 of them, so i'm all for whatever happens with the band.

You could also consider him a "Neti Pot Enthusiast"...

awww talking about Kyle makes me sad he's no longer touring
I miss when he and Stephen would guitar battle and try to push each other over like little kids

he's supposedly done spring awakening on june 28th, though, so maybe we'll see him with sk6 on a few rare occasions in the future... (hopefully...maybe on the rock boat......ahem)

From Sixers Myspace bio:
"Also appearing on guitar and pedal steel is the newest Sixer, Sam Getz, who joins the touring line up in the Fall of 2009."

Yeah I saw SK in Sellersville a few weeks ago and Sam Getz played with them. It was a great show as always.

I've only seen the SK6ERS on The Rock Boat 8 with Kyle. I'm looking forward to being on the boat again this year and getting to see them with the new guitarist, but I do hope that Kyle will be there as well...he was absolutely amazing!! Either way though, I know the SK6ERS sets will be fabulous and I'm very excited!!
