Can we add Pre-Disposition to the list, as well?
Posted 1 year ago on December 22, 2008 LINK -
Agreed...Pre-Disposition would be the shit.

Hello all. I am back with a new name and all because my working ass cannot seem to remember any of my passwords. I vow to try better this time and stay connected seeing as how I do really like many of you on here, and I say not all, because I am guessing there are newbies since I last posted on here when I vowed then that I was back to stay, but I PROMISE I will really try this time. But, I will jump in and ask for Colorado Songs We've Sung. I know it isn't always a crowd pleasing one, but damn...old school is just needed sometimes. Talk soon guys!

welcome back, Parks!
any of these songs would be great but i'm gonna vote for When She Leaves or Take Me Into Town

I second all of these (especially Elise's & Ang's choices).
I will pretty much take anything off Lucky 11 that we don't usually hear. Or All Things? Pain Comes? Burn it Down? I Will Walk With You (totally cheesy, but I love it)? Even Hurt and Heart. Yeah, plus many others.
Good to see you again, Parks.

Thanks guys. I told you guys I liked the ones that no one else wanted. It is also important to note though that I was listening when most of these were staples (if you could call them that) when very few people knew who Stephen even was. I like to claim that fact and I would like to see several South of Stephen or Pre be brought back but it is hard to ask for that when Dave and the majority play sparingly on these songs now(see 4th of July from the acoustic tour before the last album). The new stuff is awesome, but everyone knows what it's like to claim that first song you heard.

i vote for some buffalo tunes to come back

I still say one of my all time favorite SK songs has to be Another Midas Story. When Mozella opened for him a few years back I begged to have them try out the duet. Sadly, my pleadings were to no avail. Isn't it always a little thrill when they bust out anything from South of Stephen?

GAH!! I totally agree.

He played Pre-Disposition in Ames, Iowa last October 2008. They also played a half of the song (ha!) when they were in Ames in 2006 or 2007 - I can't remember which year but the show was at People's bar. After checking out the set lists on a weekly basis, I have yet to see that song on any set list (other than those two times) from the past five years. Woo go Iowa!
Edit - BE would be cool, as would Take me Into Town and Fading In.

I requested "Take Me Into Town" at the VIP thing before the Birchmere show last year and it made my life to hear them play it!
I'm dying to hear "4th Street Moon" again...I know they play it sometimes, but I haven't heard it since '05 and it's one of my fave songs!
I'll also jump on the Colorado bandwagon...that's my favorite of old school SK songs.

I was lucky enough to hear it twice this last tour. I'm so glad they are bringing this one back. One of my favorites...along with the whole One Night In Brooklyn EP. I'm sure its only a matter of time until you hear it again, Britt! I wish You Win would show up a little more - I remember hearing it live in Minneapolis and not believing my ears.

YOU WIN!!!!!

YOU WIN!!!!!
SERIOUSLY. or jsut that entire ep played over and over and over and over would make me happy. yeah, i love it that much.

aha I'm listening to You Win right now. that would be nice to hear. I'd really love to hear BE or Fading In. Those songs are jams.
- MalPosted 1 year ago on December 25, 2008 LINK -
I'm a big ol' sucker for Guitar and Tambourine. They played it at the Bowery show I wasn't at, of course, but I wish they played it more. I'd also have to say Pedal Steel, You've Changed, You Win, and As Good As It Has Been also top my Bring Back setlist, too.

Glad some other agree.
Now I am sitting here kicking myself that I did not order "You Win" handwritten lyrics. Grr. Seriously, one of my absolute favorites. Back in the day when they used to play As Good As It Has Been all the time, I got sick of it (i.e. Such a Way, Thirteen...), but now I really really miss it. Weird.

You were right, Jen! "4th Street Moon" was the first song of the set last night
I was VERY happy!

and i've heard 4th street moon, in chicago. beautiful. wow, now i feel like a stalk them, haha.
