That's why Anthem has steadily remained one of my favorite sixer songs...No matter how it's played it's SOO good.

    ditto.

Besides all of the traditional great sixer songs that I would want to hear anyway (America Song, Satisfied Man, Pedal Steel, Blue Jean, etc.), I do have one cover request for specifically the Notre Dame show at Legends Bar on 4/4.

I know they have perfected another one of the artist's songs (as it is one of my fav covers recently..Piano Man), but I was hoping they play "only the good die young". For those of you that don't know the legend behind it, here it is: before Billy Joel was to play a concert at Notre Dame, some of the ND officials came to him and requested/demanded that he not play that song because of the "catholic girls" references. Basically, nobody tells Billy what to do, so he apparently opened with it, played it mid-set, closed the set with it, and closed the encore with it (thus creating the legend that is still told on campus today). I guess it touched a nerve with those officials, and they proceeded to ban him for life from ever playing another concert at Notre Dame.

Now since the place is on campus, I don't know if it is an unwritten rule during the booking process that they please tells bands to refrain from playing this song (Jessica would have to let us in on that one). To be on the safe side, they can close with it to get a full set in, just in case they anger the mgmt there. Since the concert is only open to the notre dame community (per the tour page), I think they would get a kick out of hearing it. I def know that it is a fan fav at the local bars there.

I found this on wikipedia (I guess he played it more than I thought, and all at once)...
