I'm starting to love Sister Hazel. I want to buy an album, but which one? Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm by no means an expert on Sister Hazel, but I can totally say that "Somewhere More Familiar" is one of my all-time favorite summer albums, and I've always liked "Fortress." I have a friend who really likes "Chasing Daylight" and from what I've heard of it, I think it's good. I think that there is an older (2004-ish) live album that might be the cure-all if you're not looking to buy their entire catalog. You could probably score "Somewhere More Familiar" in a bargain bin or at a Half-Priced Books though for cheap.

"Live Live" is a very good "sampler" (the first actual album of SH's I bought, just for that reason). If you're looking for a studio album, you can't go wrong with Absolutely (2006). If you can find the "White Album", it's got some excellent songs from before they signed to a label. Somewhere More Familiar would be my other recommendation. Lift and Chasing Daylight are not quite as upbeat (esp Lift). Go with Absolutely, you won't regret it
