Reserved seating at Tin Angel... Question.

I didn't make dinner reservations for the show last year, so I have a question or two... I have tickets to both shows, and I made reservations no more than a couple days after I got the tickets. The menu is ridiculously pricey, but it's going to be my last Sixers show for the year, so I want to make it special and treat my mom to a nice dinner (and close seats!).

I was reading some reviews on the Tin Angel/Serrano last night.I came across one that said you must order a specific minimum amount of food in order to get the reserved seating at the Tin Angel, despite having reservations. Is this true? My mom and I never eat more than one entree when we go out. We eat like birds. If we have to order more than that, I'm going to have to cancel our dinner reservations, as I can't eat (or even afford) that much.

I also understand that I can't have reserved seating for both shows, correct? That kinda sucks, considering I'm sure there will already be a line forming for the second show while the first show is still going on. And like Stephen said last year, that place is like being on a train or an airplane.

Hey, Chrissy- I also have tkts for both and they told me that I would have reserved seats for both shows even though we are eating b/f the first one. You may want to call them on that...tho I have to say they were not great on the phone...... Not sure about the minimum on the food.

    Thanks for the info!

I'll definitely have to give them a call. I e-mailed them after I made the reservations and whoever responded told me I'd have to exit and re-enter after the first show, and pick a new seat. I also e-mailed them with the questions I posted here over two weeks ago, but have not heard anything back. Apparently, they're not so good with e-mail, either. Haha.

Okay, I just called and the guy on the phone told me to tell the manager, when I get there, that I have tickets for both shows. I would have "reserved seating" for the first show, and "best available seating" for the second show. What's the big difference?! Haha. This is going to be interesting.

I suppose that not everyone will be attending both shows, so they have to let those who only have reserved seating for the second show go up first the second time around. He assured me that I would be taken care of, so I hope this goes well. This is going to be the most expensive meal of my life. :P

Hey, did you make it to the shows? We did both and thought they were amazing (minus the girl yelling out in the second show!). SK's voice sounded phenomenal even thought they said he had a sore throat. Anybody know why the guys didn't come out after either show? I've seen them 10x now and this is the first time they didn't come out after. Oh, well... just wanted to get my calendar signed. It was my first time seeing them in Philly and it was definitely worth the trip!

Hey, everything went well! I loved the shows. I wasn't able to keep my reserved seats for the second show, but Cousin Jess and the doorman did agree to let us and a few others stay inside in between shows, so we still had great seats.

The boys didn't come out afterwards... apparently orders of their manager. Plus, Stephen had a cold. I waited around for a little while outside, though. I saw Stephen and talked to him for a few minutes. He was on his way to find a slice of pizza. Haha.

Edit: By the way, here is my review of both shows (sorry it's the length of a short novel), plus some pictures and videos, for anyone who's interested!

OMG- now that's a review! Glad you guys still got great seats for the second show. We were just behind you during the first show (third set of seats) and I thought that might be you in the front b/c you said that you were going with your mom. Since they let us keep our seats for the second show, we went downstairs to the restaurant for a drink in between. Overall, I loved the venue. We are MUCH closer to NYC, so we usually hit those shows, but we've been known to go to CT and MA, too. The Tin Angel was definitely one of the best we've been to. Wish we could have seen SK. I am a bit jealous....
OK- starting withdrawal mode now, too........

I like to remember every little detail about my shows. Haha. I have lots of other reviews and pictures in my blog, too!

I hear ya about the withdrawal! Mom and I are already planning to go to next year's NYE show, no matter where they're at. We were just looking at pictures and videos from the other night. We're kicking ourselves for not going.
