i need one, WHY are there not enough jobs being posted right now???? arrhahhhhhhhhhhhh.
i mean, i do have a job for the time being, but its starbucks and im only pulling about 20-30 hrs a week when i need to be working full time and obviously making a bit more per hour, lol. plus im qualified for a little something better.

I feel ya, Mal. I'm starting to get worried, especially with tour season coming up. All the job postings on CraigsList are either things that I'm not qualified to do, jobs that I probably could do, but "experience necessary", or too far away for me to get to. It's ridiculous.
at least there ARE job postings for you. on saskjobs.ca and a few other job sites theres like maybe 1 posting per day that im qualified for, MAYBE, and it usually something crappy that i dont really want to do, but ill apply for anyway. i mean, im qualified for alot since i have a communications degree, but im also qualified for something more specific and i dont want to do something i hate thats SO unrelated to what i like to do.
i just got an interview though on thursday as a media publisher for some company....so we'll see how that goes... i dont even know what they pay, but im sure its decent.
and i mean, starbucks pays and all so i dont care about THAT and id work there full time if i have to... but i just cant work there anymore, i am so so so sick of it. i might even stick it out and work like 10 hrs a week when i get another job just for extra income, but i dont think ill be able to stay there past may if i have something else. I HATE FRAPPUCINOS, lol, i really do...and come june-august, my store is maddness with summer drinks....especially when kids are out of school. i work at a drive thru on a popular street so its like constant and i wanted to kill myself everyday last summer working there.
I work in HR/Recruiting for my firm and I'll post an ad on craigslist and take it down after getting 100 submitted resumes in about....4 hours. It's incredible. And I have people submitting resumes for a part time reception position who have masters degrees.
it never even occured to me to look on craigslist or kijiji for an actual job, to be honest. i thought it was more junk classifieds where people sell stuff and whatever, or advertise their own businesses, etc, rather than major business posting job openings. i mean, there are actual job posting websites.... youd think major companies would go to that first.....
and i do have hope that i'll find a job eventually... because i know i'm good at what i do and i have talent and also 4 years of solid education that alot of people in my "field" dont have (graphic design). most just have a 1 or 2 year certificate if that... i have a 4 year communications degree where i learned the same thing but way more. like i said, i have specific training so i should be able to get more than a receptionist job... its just finding the right one...or any one.
