I e-mailed Stephen over a month ago about him sending me a lyric handwritten. He said he would, etc. I figured it wouldn't happen, but still waited. I am scheduling an appointment with a tattoo artist on Monday and I am wondering if anyone has a picture of ANYTHING Stephen has written? I just need a picture of the handwriting to show the artist. I'll take anything haha.

If this were me and the handwriting was really important, I would rather wait and have it done accurately. Good luck.

I didn't want to bug Stephen but I did e-mail Jessica, who he said was going to send me the picture, just to double check. I'm still hoping something will happen with that.

Anyway, Lindsay sent me her picture and I talked to the artist about it and he said he is going to work on it. He said he can get it close, but obviously not exact since it IS someone else's handwriting. There's a reason I am going to the best tattoo artist in Cleveland for this haha :) .

I don't know if this will work, but here's a photo of the tattoo I just got with SK's handwriting... (I don't know if it will work for yours, but it's a sample!)

Ahh...Is there any way you can make it bigger? The more example I take to him, the easier it will be for him :) .

    Cool tat!

That's really exceptional SK handwriting, too. (And one of my favorite lines, ever)

thanks! SK was great about writing it out, he said he would make sure to spend time on it so that it was legible, & then wrote it out for me about 4 times on a piece of paper so I could pick the best one =)

    That's a really gorgeous tattoo.

I want one in the same spot of a lyric... probably an SK lyric. I'm thinking, "do as the good day demands" since "Days" is my favorite song. But then again, I change my mind easily. Haha.

Yeah, I was considering getting a line from "Days" or "Southern State of Mind." I change my mind a lot, too. But then I was listening to "In Front of the World" and when I heard it, even though I've heard it a million times, I just said to myself that that is what I was getting. I love it. I'd say it's my favorite song, but then again so is "4th of July," and "Cradle of Family," and...I could go on haha.

I got a TON of compliments about it at work today, though of course I had to explain that it was a song lyric every time someone askes. But everyone really liked it, even though they didn't know the band (other than me always saying how awesome they are), so that made me happy :D although this one old dude was like "someone wrote on you. you should wash that off"

Normally I don't like the idea of getting tattoos related to entertainers because you can never be certain where that person's future lies. Like imagine getting a Michael Jackson tattoo right before all the molestation scandals or an OJ Simpson tattoo before his trials (I don't know who would do that...). And even if you were certain of his innocence and you can still respect him for his talent, I still don't know if I'd want that on my body.

But anyway, I think that's a really good lyric that would still be perfectly acceptable and non-regrettable if there was a huge Sixers tax evasion scandal. So basically, excellent choice. And I think the handwriting looks awesomee. I like the long H's.

I have the autograph of an athlete on my back and I justified the permanent-ness of it by realizing how big of a part of my life he has been for the last few years---and even if he gets in "trouble" for allegedly assaulting an old man at a race track (oops, already did that), I have a ton of amazing memories that surround his events, friends within the sport, etc.

But I definitely see what you mean.
