I'm a big Hanson fan and SK6ers fan, and I don't like them touring together. I prefer to see the Sixers at bars and restaurant-like venues. And some Hanson fans are crazy and still think that it's 1997.

i am a huge skeptic.
but for some reason (alcohol may have been involved) i bought The Walk on iTunes....
and i can't stop listening to it.i will give them a chance at the Calvin Theater show. i picked an end seat near an exit to make for an easy escape if things get crazy.

hi,
well..actually...im a huge Hanson fan, and i went to 3 shows that SK6ers were opening for...and now im here.
Maybe, cos im mostly a hanson fan, who heard a few of SK6ers songs and really loved them, but i think that them touring together was one of the BEST things ever!!! because usually at a show you get some crappy starter bands and then a really good show from the actual bands, but those 3 concerts were amazing cos there was an amazing starter band, who kept you entertained HEAPS! and then an equally amazing show by hanson.
I mean...i know that you dont get the full experience of them, from such a short setlist, but hey! it was enough to convince me to check their webiste out, and make me love them.Posted 4 years ago on May 13, 2008 LINK -
I have been a hanson fan for the past 11 years and had not honestly never heard of sk6ers until i saw them at two of the hanson shows last week. i was amazed and went to see their full show in charlotte later that week and have not stopped listening since then...if you like and support sk6ers so much, why wouldnt you want them to gain fans?...anyways, sk6ers are amazing and i have a total new respect for them!!

welcome to the boards guys!! Glad you liked the Sixers! As a Sk6ers/Hanson fan it was a dream come true seeing them tour together but frustrating when some ppl didn't respect the Sixers during their.... set such as talking or being drunk off their ass....but anywho welcome

People still do that at shows where the Sixers play alone...haha

^That's for sure...i remember hearing a show that got tapped where one guy kept yelling at stephen to shut up and just plays songs.

haha I think that goes back to the obnoxious guy fans thread... there's a few concerts up on archives with instances like that (or, of course, the "Diamond!" guy)

Man I'd be pissed if there was someone in the back of a bootleg doing that. So *not* on in general.
Especially since, at the very least, SK is actually funny in his in-betweens. There's tonnes of bands who just... don't really talk and that doesn't help.

umm like Ray LaMontagne whose in-between banter is "Thanks...1234, 1234" and then starts the next song. In his defense, I really didn't really want to hear his depressing thoughts on life anyway, seeing as how his music is usually sad enough. It was great show except he was nearing his breaking point, ala Ryan Adams.
Edit: I still love Ray and Ryan, regardless of their issues, or lack thereof!

I've been a Hanson fan for 11 years, and a 6ers fan for a little over a year - when I heard they were touring with Hanson, I was SO excited. I only got to see them on the Hanson tour, plus at a show in Greenville, SC the day before Hanson's Asheville show, but I'm going to Roanoke on the 14th and I'm so excited to see them headlining!

yeah, huge hanson fan here. i heard about sixers through hanson (hanson fans, actually..and heard about them again through kyle riabko) awhile ago and liked them a fair amount, and then when i found out they were touring with hanson and saw them all in april i pretty much got hooked ...and then i saw them last month without hanson and yeah, sixers are just...great.

i think i like sk6ers better than hanson...for now. WHOOPS.
we'll see where time takes us, though. hanson just need to come out with some new music to sweep me off my feet again... or i need to fly across the country yet again to see them...but for now, im all about sk6ers.
