OKAY so....this is only the second time this has happened to me and I am PISSED.

Tuesday afternoon, after work, I head to a local music shop to spend an hour browsing for new stuff. I grab some good used CDs and then splurge on a new album, Mika - Life In Cartoon Motion. i dont have a cd player in my car so i get home, pop it into the computer...and it won't load. it would APPEAR as though it's PROTECTED. what the eff! my computer is my only means of playing music!! and i know it's not just a faulty CD because i took my moms' car out to try it there, adn it worked in her cd player (i'm so peeved i cant even type). so now what do i do?

do i have grounds to take the CD back? I mean, it's useless to me now. If i had known it wouldnt load on my computer i would have purchased the album on itunes instead. i'm planning on going in there after work friday, when i know i'll be in a foul mood, because i'm afraid they'll deny me store credit and i'll be forced to raise hell. i dont usually go to this store because i'm not treated nicely there, but it's one of the few local shops that wasnt recently bought out by FYE. ahhhhhh.

    thoughts?

That is pretty lame. I get that they don't want people to steal it and all, but when you make it less functional, then that is stupid. I would take it back and make a stink. If they are going to do that, there should be a disclaimer or something.

my old roommate bought that CD a while back and i know she had it on her ipod because we used to jam to "lollipop" in the car
and she's really not smart enough to remove copyrights or anything. :P
so i would take it back. that's not right.

Laaaaaaame. I have never had a CD do that to me, but if companies start doing that, it would be ridiculous. SO many people use their computers to listen to music. Maybe your computer was being obnoxious (mine constantly is to me) and it wasn't the cd? I have no idea, but if it was the cd, that's total crap. Take it back!

I have this cd and had no problem loading it on itunes...weird. I would try exchanging it or maybe ask the store if anyone else has mentioned a problem with it.
