Thanks SK6RS for coming up North! I think you've made a lot of new fans here and we can't wait for you to return. I love the fact that even with a three piece opening for a hard rock band like George Thorogood... the keytar, accordion, and tuba still made their appearances!

    Come back to Calgary soon!

I also dig the band Wide Mouth Mason.

Hey I'm glad to hear that they had a good show on the west coast! Did the crowd there seem to like them? I'm seeing them next week here in Ontario, can't wait!!

But in the end its just me and me and me and thats all

i wish i could see them in Canada, but i have no way of getting to their shows, even though they're coming SOO close. i hope they come back, on their own as well. i really am not a fan of george thorogood, so it's a lot to ask someone to drive me an hour just to see a 45 minute set.

    ...don\'t dream it, be it...

There was definitely a crowd of people lining up for SK6RS merch and autographs after the band's set and even after the show was all over. I hope the other Canadian shows do as well aso the band can come back and play longer as headliners! :)

I hear ya, but as you'll soon find out, there are many of us on here who will drive farther than that to see the a SK6ers opening set. At least I have and it's always worth it (even though I always secretly and not so secretly wish they were headlining instead)

true that. like last weekend when I drove 9 hours through the backwoods of Canada to see the show in Kamloops, BC. :) & I still can't pronounce the stupid name of the town. Boots tried to school me, but it didn't work.

And my friends called me crazy because I'm taking an hour train ride to see them open in Baltimore.

Kudos to you guys. I'm lucky that they're coming close enough for me to get to. I'd go a lot further if I had to.

Kamloops is... phonetic-like isn't it? Like kam and loops together. I dunno. It seemed a bit odd when I was last there, so maybe it was because I didn't say it right either :)

And yeah - I was all happy with my hour plus drive. Nine hours is dedication!

Kamloops is very phonetic but me & my dyslexia kept mixing up the p & the l. So I was saying like Kamploos & Kampools & Boots was making fun of me. He tried to sound it out, but it didn't help much :)

*snicker* No seriously -- camp loos is probably an accurate description of the town. *cough*

No, I jest -- Kamloops isn't so bad. But BC has some CRAZY place names. I look at them on maps and things and I just blink a lot. It's crazy.
