I hope this one makes it, though, because the venue refused to let me record since the band was having it recorded. Even though Jessica said it was still okay with the band, the venue stepped in and declared a no-taping policy for the evening, even though I had called them the week before to let them know I was driving in from Cleveland for the sole purpose of taping the show. I understand that people are going to drink and have a good time...but if you're going to talk during the songs, why not just go to a bar instead of paying to see a concert? I always want to turn around and yell at people who are being obnoxious, but from the audience, you don't have the power to have any effect on people...but from stage, Stephen does! I appreciate him saying what I wish I could. What I COULD hear was one guy in the mezzanine yelling like an idiot between every song, and the wait staff in the mezzanine having a good time chatting and laughing with one another during Satisfied Man. It was ironic because the guy yelling between songs was one of the ones who turned around and gave a big "Shhhhhhhh" to the wait staff during Satisfied Man. You can't have it both ways, buddy.</p> <p>Regarding the Cleveland show -- again, I was in the back recording by the soundboard, but from the back the bulk of the crowd seemed overwhelmingly respectful. From my vantage point I couldn't see the guy who pissed Stephen off (but I could hear him), and I couldn't hear the girls laughing up front. But the half of the crowd that I could observe was behaving well.</p> <p>I have to admit that I loved it when Stephen barked at the people in Cleveland for not respecting the experience of the rest of the crowd. But after seeing him do it again (to a lesser degree) in Philly, I wonder how worthwhile it is. I thought the setlist was great. (I just about died when they opened with "Seven Bridges Road", and sang all of my favorite covers.) I didn't really notice any drunk crazies on Kit's side of the stage, but I was too into the show to notice much. I did have that problem in Northampton, though, so I can see where you guys are coming from... That didn't feel like your typical Sixers show.
